No EDIT option for my threads / posts

I'm running a thread where i keep record of some cappers. If i can't edit the stats i post before the game it will confuse people more posting a second reply within that thread. Why would you disable such an option within such a big forum ?

Edits are disabled Thursday afternoon and evenings when we are running our live streaming Trivia events to ensure fair play. The switch hadn't been flipped back on immediately following Thursday night's event, but it's been on since the morning.
