Verizon to announce it will sell the iphone

All of the Verizon customers are SOOOO happy that they finally get the device...but it's only going to run about 50% of the speed of those through ATT. Verizon's smartphone signal is garbage and they're so far behind the "technological times" with their towers, it's ridiculous. When ATT is running their iPhones on 4G, Verizon will just be getting off of EDGE.

Yep thats why my brother has to use my Droid on Verizon when his At&t iphone drops data signal all the time. At&t service is garbage bro.

Iphone is one phone iteration just standing in place. Android phones are evolving and offer so many options. Android is king. Iphone is for females who want to be trendy. Android is for serious smartphone users.

You misunderstood what I was trying to say. When the Droid was designed, it was designed to be used with Verizon's hardware and equipment (That's why it'll run much better than the iPhone through Verizon). The iPhone was designed with a contract already in place with ATT to be the exclusive carrier, hence why the phone will run slower on Verizon.

The problem with your brothers iPhone and dropping the data signal isn't the network in general. Maybe you're in a less than stellar area or something is up with his phone? Not installing updates can play a role in this too.

One of two things need to happen for Verizon in terms of selling the iPhone and having it work properly:

1) Have Apple make an iPhone specially for Verizon

2) Faster advancement in getting to 4G

Do you think Apple would not make their phone to be compatible with Verizon? That would be a stupid and costly business move on their part. I think they are smart enough not to make that mistake.

That is the end of ATT. They are already the worst in every possible catagory in consumer reports this month. I just bought an iphone. I can't afford all the extras just for data and texts. I guess I will try a Droid.
