Centrebet says SportOdds will launch early in 2008 and will operate under a New South Wales license held by Centrebet's managing director, Con Kafataris. SportOdds.com currently redirects to the [iSBRFORUM]Centrebet[/iSBRFORUM] website.

I'm curious to know how they're planning to differentiate. I don't see it's by market, unless it's by market within Australia, they could run a more european facing book out of their existing license..

not totally sure, but from what i read in their press release it's a way to market their services in New South Wales, because apparently the centrebet-brand has restrictions there. no idea about regularatory issues in australia, but it seems if that would be the most important reason for the sportodds-venture rather than trying to create a whole new sportsbook.
