Tons of great matchups. Both big time conference games and inter-conference games.

    12:00 - #2 FSU -2 @ #10 Louisville
    3:30 - #1 Alabama -10.5 @ #19 Ole Miss
    7:30 - #3 Ohio State -1.5 @ #14 Oklahoma
    7:30 - #12 Michigan State +7.5 @ #18 Notre Dame
    8:00 - USC +8 @ #7 Stanford

Some other decent matchups as well.

This is a great slate of games. Absolute must wins for Oklahoma and Notre Dame if they want to re-enter the playoff conversation later this season.

I agree with you on a great looking card.........but not because of the power 5 conf. games. Iam looking at: AKR.ST./UTAH ST, KANSAS/MEMPHIS,MIA(FLD)/APP. ST and VIR/U CONN.................................... .....BOL

The Miami/App St game is intriguing. Is Miami legitimate this year? Value could be on them there with that short line.

This line looks low to me,meaning that APP. st. is the side. Will do a right up later. The Mountaineers are the real deal!!.......Also,at least for me,when it comes to speculation on a singular event( game), value does not exist ! Cheap things are not cheap and expensive things are not expensive, they are priced there for a reason.............But WTF do I know..........................BOL

The "what if's" for this week. What if USC defeats Stanford? The Pac 12 is thrown into chaos as far as the playoffs are concerned. Stanford has three very tough away games in a four week period starting next week with a trip to Pasadena to play UCLA, followed by a trip to Seattle to play UDub. After a home game against Wazzu, then go to South Bend to play the Irish.

Louisville defeats Florida State. That sets up a three way tie scenario in the ACC Atlantic with Clemson defeating Louisville and Florida State defeating Clemson. Good Luck untangling that mess.

Either Ohio State or Michigan States loses. That means that the team that does lose faces a major uphill battle to win the Big 10 East, and gives Michigan a leg up on that team. Michigan's problem is that they play both of those teams, plus Iowa on the road. If both teams lose, then a showdown elimination game between the two takes place in Lansing.

That's what makes this week so intriguing. These games all could have major implications despite being so early in the year.

Oregon @ Nebraska is a good game as well. Think the Cornhuskers get it done at home there.

                                  indeed!
a few other very intriguing matchups imo among "fringe" teams appear to be
ucla @byu - unfortunately somebody has to lose this one
texas @cal - cal is capable of upending a road fav just like texas did!
                                  a&m @auburn - close one! i want a better line on tigers
colo @michigan - buffs improved! dominated 2 weaker opps same as michigan did
houston @cinci - ward & catalon playing hurt, and cinci at home
                                  and
army @utep - cmon, u gotta agree that it would b a feel good if
our nations finest would keep rolling (finally)
over the past 19 yrs they have exceeded 5 wins only once!
this yr all of their games r winnable with the exception of notredame, and
will have very tough road games @wake and @navy ,
but still plausible they could be 7-4 when they enter the army-navy contest
                                  - which would then make THAT tradition a must watch on Dec 10!
