If it was -750 this is his last season in the LA Lakers I would bet yes but he's so competitive I can see him doing another year to finish it right with a another team plus he gets to see what he commands under the new CBA and gets his ego stoked getting courted in the offseason. It looks bleak now because he's banged up already but +450 implies like 18% chance he plays another season. Even in the bleakest scenario in the age where professional athletes hang on to the bitter end I peg it at a 30% chance he plays another season so it's worth a punt at that price.

You mean A.P. brought his team to the NFC championship while Favre tried to screw them with picks while he was texting chicks?

Just watch a Laker game (y'know, one he actually plays in) and its obvious. He is not a major part of the offense anymore, basically an outside shooter with a .320 shooting %, looks slow as hell on defense and lumbers up and down the floor like he's bored. He's cooked.

I think he plays one more year, so he can try to get a ring with whatever superstar comes.

Last season? Or retires after this year?

Because what if he retires after this season and you lose your +450 No bet, then Kobe pulls a Favre and comes back after taking some time off?

In basketball terms, Kobe Bryant is old, yes. But Tuesday's performance in a 34-point Los Angeles Lakers loss to the juggernaut Golden State Warriors hit a new low in what is beginning to look like a completely glory-free end to a storied, 20-year career.

Bryant shot 7 percent in the game, hitting one field goal in 14 tries. It tied his career-worst performance (minimum 10 shots in a game), set one year ago against the San Antonio Spurs.

After Tuesday's loss, Bryant said the realities of his situation hit him for the first time this season. "This is the first time (all season) it got to me," he said.

Kobe Bryant: 12 straight games scoring fewer than 25 points while shooting less than 50% from field, longest such streak of his career.— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) November 25, 2015 Air balls, the stuff of basketball comedy, have become all too common for Bryant this season, and he hoisted a few more Tuesday.*SARAH MCLACHLAN ARMS OF AN ANGEL MUSIC* Afterwards, Kobe told reporters that he needed assistance in getting better looks.Teammate Nick Young threw some cold water on that idea, and perhaps also on coach Byron Scott's approach to building the team's offense around giving the 37-year-old Bryant the green light to do what he wants. .@LAIreland asked Nick Young what LAL can do better, his response: “We can’t let one guy determine everything. We have to play as a team"— Serena Winters (@SerenaWinters) November 25, 2015 There's an anecdotal tale that when Willie Mays stumbled through his final Major League Baseball season with the New York Mets in 1973, the scoreboard operators at Shea Stadium wouldn't put up his woeful statistics out of respect. In this era, that's not possible, as fans and observers alike are witness to everything - including Bryant's sub-12 player efficiency rating.

I've seen him in a couple of games, and he has just looked pure awful. I thought Garnett had fallen badly, but Kobe looks far worse. He needs to swallow his pride, come of the bench, and let these kids carry the load.

It makes zero sense for him to continue especially if it is with the Lakers. The team is aweful, it's not like he is playing for another championship. He doesn't have anyone around him that even resembles an NBA player.

They would chew Kobe's old ass up too. Don't discount how much father time saps your energy in your late 30's. He will have a beer gut next year this time.

Kobe and the Lakers are dead for many years to come.
