    Betting baseball impossible
Does anybody else find that betting baseball impossible?

For instance, there were cappers that were heavy on Greinke/Arizona last night. Arizona was -171.
Greinke ended up getting cremated for 7 runs and lost. Which means that if you paid the juice you got smoked; if you did the run line you lost easily.

There seems to be no good strategy for baseball. If anybody has a decent strategy or capper please let me know because baseball seems to be the most losing sport.

Baseball is the Best sport to bet, if you know what you're doing !!
I know a large number of sportsbook owners, managers and bookies.
Each and every one of them, have said that if they could never take another Baseball bet they would stop.
If they did, they would lose most of their Football and hoops bettors.

If you are new to Baseball betting:

A: Wait until you learn and feel comfortable with it.

B: Find a service that is consistent over the season.

Baseball is a long season, so anyone who can hit 60+ percent is considered pretty good.
      It's a marathon, not a sprint.
Most people will tell you anyone who bets large money lines can't make money, I disagree.
If you pick your spots, you can win taking large favorites here and there. (not all of the time.)
I can tell you for sure, that you will not win betting tons of games every night.
I have been at this for decades, and learned quite a bit over that span.
Baseball is my best sport as far as making money.
Football is by far the most popular, that's why books salivate when August comes around.
Books make their living off of football and hoops, for good reason.

I wish you and everyone who reads this, Best of Luck !!

In MLB who gives a shit if a guy has record of 60%+. Easy to do playing large favorites and still have a cumulative loss in $. Money Line sports without spreads like MLB & NHL are all about +/- in $ or units.

I didn't post that to argue with anyone, simply saying Baseball is the sport books would rather not take action on.
I did say "not all of the time", pick your spots.
You sound like you're young and angry.
I've been doing this longer than you have been alive !! LOL
          You're correct, it's all about +/-.
The 60+ percent was referring to cappers who don't take large money lines.
No, it's not easy to do betting large favorites.
So, I agree with most of what you said.
I've been tracking my picks for the last five MLB seasons, which includes some large money lines.
I do play different units or $ on certain games. (No, I don't sell my picks.)
I have not had a losing season, since I've been tracking.
I tell you this because of what I said in A: "Wait until you learn and feel comfortable with it".
It took me a long time to figure it out, and feel comfortable taking my own picks.

Good Luck, I hope you win a ton !!

First week of baseball is easy. They don't know where to put the lines. Figure out the rotten teams and fade them. Can make good money the first two days! But remember... Vegas always catches up...

I pick my spots. I try to take mostly short dogs and totals. I won't take any favorite over -150, but often I try to keep favs at or under -130. I will also take huge dogs if i feel they have a chance, but look at bit deeper at those. I also discipline myself to only 3 games I like, but most days, I pick one good game and go with that. Money management is vitally important in MLB.

I'm 4-0 so far today including 2 underdogs (Pirates & Rays). If the Dodgers win and this Colorado/Over parlay hits, I'm gonna be popping some corks. MLB is my shit.

there is no science to any betting. if there was, someone woulda figured it out, wrote a book, sold it and living on his yacht. lol dont create strategies like 1 play a day cuz u are limiting yourself. not saying go heavy on plays either. u dont HAVE To play a -200 or a -150. book HAVE To line or put a line for all games. u have the option to pick and choose. thats where if u smart, u can come out ahead. small favs and dogs will make u money by end of season as long as u pick your spots. baseball last year, even worst team won about 38% of games. almost 1 in 4. the best team(STL CARDS) won a lil over 60%. so even the worst teams do win. dont worry about percentage or win-loss record. focus on your ROI/Units gained. thats all that matters. in hockey just on dogs,i was 35-33(not great) but up 24.57u. on favs 23-14(great record) but only up 7.1u. every team in mlb will go through a losing streak no matter how good they are. a simple strategy if u wanna start, look at teams that have gotten swept in a series on road and now at home and dogs(meaning bad team). it wont be 100% but u can start there and go up from there.

here is April. May angle I tread about

That is to say, the game is played in April or May, the team is an Away Dog, their line is no higher than +150, they are coming off a loss, they have a losing record and they are playing a team with a winning record.

plus money every yr since 2004 except one and that was only minus little over one unit
