    ROI Question
I have a quick ROI question, If my unit size is $20 with a bankroll of $300 and I have a ROI of 15% through 90 games. Can someone explain to me by total winnings from these numbers? Thanks, I was just unsure of how I would calculate this for the future using different numbers (bankroll, unit size).

Would I profit $270 from these numbers?... 20*.15=3*90=270
Or am I doing this wrong?

    Thanks for the help.

I could be wrong on this, but I am an accoutant and I think that your return on investment would be calculated on the amount of your bankroll. Your are basing your calculation on the total amount of every bet you made, which I don't think is correct. I think if your ROI was 15%, you woulld be up $45.
I could be wrong on this.

i think you divide profit by total risked

        profit/total risked=ROI

        i could be wrong though

          Heffrey is exactly right.

@OP I could tell you your profit if you told me your average wager size. Are you risking $20 every time? Are you risking to win $20 every time? It is a minimal difference but we should get it right if we are learning it.

Assuming you are risking $20 with a 15% ROI then your formula is correct as well.

Or calc it like you would calc a return on a stock

            Gain divided by starting bankroll

              Agreed.

That's how I usually calculate my ROI.

              Example;

              Starting Bankroll $1,000
              Ending Bankroll $1,500
              50% ROI

That would be correct if you risked your entire bankroll but if you just risk a portion of your roll I think it would simply be total profit / total risk...
What if you made a 1000 wager on an early game and a 1000 wager on a late game. Then you've risked a total of 2000 overall so it makes more sense to say this was my profit / this is what I risked to get it = overall ROI
