Last years SBP record for Original was only 59-7. Plus 10 units. Thats 7 C bet losses last year. Hopefully he has a better year.

So his straight up record would be 59-21? That's a 74% hit rate with out chasing. I can live with that.

I had Rich send me the 'Spreadsheet from all NBA Original plays for 2010-2011 Season' at the end of year and it shows 75W, 7 Loses and 1 A lose to end season and Net Profit of +25 units.

You are miscalulating because you are not taking in account how many bets are won on B and C bets. Example: every A bet win is 1-0, every B bet Win is 1-1, and every C bet is 1-2 and every C bet lose is 0-3.

Rich's email for the close of 2011-12 season:
Well it wasn't easy but once again both of my NBA betting systems finished in
profit for the year. For a season that almost didn't happen, it was a pretty eventful
year in the NBA. People wondered if the shortened season, guys coming in out of
shape, injuries, etc. would wreak havoc on the NBA this year and it certainly did.
That was especially true on the handicapping side of things.
Starting with my Sports Betting Professor Original NBA system ...
Unlike the season itself it was a model of consistency. It never got higher than +15
units the entire season (and it only achieved that high on the last day of the regular
season). Every time we'd go on a run we'd lost a C bet. But we never went on a terribly
long losing streak either. Our season low of -4 units was reached on Feb. 6th and we
came back from that fairly easily.
There wasn't a ton of action in the playoffs: 6 plays overall. Unfortunately we started
off 0-4 before winning our last 2 plays.
Final record on Original system: 59-7 for a profit of +10 units.
Now, as far as the NBA Update system ...
This was more like the season itself: wild momentum swings. We broke out of the gate
a house of fire winning our first 11 plays. Then a 2 week stretch in March nearly derailed
our season: we lost 3 C bets in the span of 15 days and were on the verge of losing a 4th.
That would have dropped us to -25 units on the season and I don't think we would have
been able to recover.
However, on March 28th the Celtics got us a C bet win as they were favored by -3.5 over
the Jazz and won by 12. That game sent us on a 24 win streak to close out the season!
So, if you had the stomach to gut it out you finished with a profit of +6 units on NBA
Updated.
Followers of both systems took home +16 units. Not my best NBA season by a long shot.
But it wasn't a normal NBA year and any season you make money is a good season in my
book.
If you'd like to see spreadsheets of either system, just email me and I'll send them along.
The NBA draft takes place this Thursday and next year we'll have full training camps and
regular pre-season so the numbers should round back into form of where we usually are
as far as profit goes.
Thanks,
Rich
2010-2011 75-7 plus 25 units

I realized that after i pressed send. I'm glad you clarified the straight up betting. For the past 24 hrs I couldn't wrap my head around the 74% straight up win record although it sounded correct at the time. Thanks!

That's what we should be in here for...to help or correct each other. We can all make a mistake. I made one right off the bat on NCAA BB. BTW, thanks for posting. We all appreciate it.
