Here is Benton's record for all of 2011:

2011 TOTAL: 245-258-5, -1,128.25 DIMES


Here is his record from Jan. 1 to Mar. 26, 2012:

57-59-3, -23 DIMES



March 26 is the last day he was tracked on a daily basis. He did start out the year good, well at least good for him, lol. If I was going to fade him daily I would definitely use a Labby.

Benton will put out 2-3 picks a day once football season starts, so keep that in mind with your labby lines.

I think the best way to fade these guys during football and basketball season is to create a unit size based on a percentage of your bankroll. Recalculating your unit size on a daily basis will allow you to prevent yourself from going bust while also being able to grow your bankroll at a greater rate than just flat betting when the fade wins.

The labby fade system is good for baseball with the large amount of juice.

Redd for 2011:

2011 TOTAL: 372-367-13, -1,949.75 DIMES


Redd from Jan. 1 to Mar. 26, 2012:

81-55-4, +713.5 DIMES


Redd was 50% in 2011 straight up but lost close to 2,000 dimes because his larger plays sucked.

He got off to a hot start in 2012 but like Benton his daily tracking was stopped on Mar. 26 so I have no idea how he has done after. I'm sure he came back down to earth.

I would classify Redd as neither fade or follow worthy at this point. Plus he usually always has 3 or more plays a day so you would need to run more than one fade on him if you were to use a Labby.

I'd be careful Fading Benton... He is a 45-50% "capper" and isn't a reliable Fade....he's been tried before. If you were to use a Labby to fade anyone it should be Rivers...he's as square as Lang and Chambers... just my 2 cents...

Uzi, in the spirit of keeping accurate, comparable records on this guy like you did with the other two fades, what was your determining factor every day as to which line you would use to grade the play? I just used used the odds from 5 Dimes this afternoon but you could have found the Twins at a better price than -105 if you shopped around.

Are we all cool with tracking dimes won and lost by using the closing line at 5 Dimes?

I usually did use 5 Dimes, most of the time. Other times where the lines were all over the place I went over to Vegas Insider and looked at the lines in Vegas and at a few of the more respected offshore books and tried to find what line was most available at the majority of the books throughout the day. Sometimes finding what line to grade the play at for the capper and for the fade can be a pain in the ass, other times it's easy. Since your the one keeping the record just go with what you feel is right.
