This doesn't surprise me at all. Every year these powerful systems go into a bad slump at some point. If they didn't, nobody would work for a living...right. It's all about money management. Martingle is crap! Don't do it! Even the labby can get you into a stomach turning situation, and even damage your bankroll when slumps like these happen. I ran a labby thread on jm last season thinking it was the answer. I was stupid. Before I knew it I was risking most of my bankroll on just one night of plays.
The first problem was I was betting too high on my original A bet. Never start out with more than 2 percent of your bank.
The second part is that you have to modify your money management. It doesn't matter what system or money management tool you use. you have to stop the chase at a certain point, or you will bust.
Here's what I have been doing this season with jm/sbp. It's worked very well so far. I've made very good profit, and haven't had to lose sleep over a stressful C bet. I run a labby line until there is a C loss. Then I take the amount lost on the C bet with the first number on the labby line, and make a new line. Here's an example.
Line after C loss: 5-5-5-5-10-15-20
So instead of increasing the risk continuing to chase, I take the 20 and first 5 (25) and make a separate line out of it.
New lines
x-5-5-5-10-15-x
7-6-6-6...adds up to 25
So now I work on this second line until it is crossed off. Then I can go back to the original line. And if I lose 3 in a row again...I just take the same step. This will more than likely not happen back to back though.
It's slower progression and may even feel like your flat betting at times. But it will save your skin during weeks like these.
