Prejudice exists among gender, religion, sexual orientation, race, etc.
Jews are prejudice against non-Jews. Non-Jews are prejudiced against Jews.
Blacks don't like whites. Whites don't like blacks. Blacks don't like hispanics. Hispanics don't like blacks.
Obese people are discriminated against and so are the elderly.
The world is NOT a perfect place and NEVER will be.
There are 2 separate and distinct groups of black people:
1. Making up the minority are those who believe they are capable of doing anything they set out to do and hate affirmative action with a passion as they find it degrading and insulting.
2. Making up the majority are those who believe that they are owed by "whitey" due to slavery, separate but equal/Jim Crow, etc. No matter how much you try and appease the 2nd group (i.e. Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, all NAACP members, etc) they will screech racism as long as they are able to draw breath.

No brettels, it wasn't. Even the 5th line of that wiki page says the justifications given by Government were all varied. I too have read Wiki many times on this topic, including the footnotes, but I also watched the doco with the white gov't employees admitting what they were doing. And most importantly, the other company I work for sponsors a national gathering of these families each year so they can try to pool resources and find their kids. I couldn't even imagine if that were done to Canadian Natives or Indians, Blacks or Mexicans living in the US. It's almost unbelievable.
All of us - no matter where you were born - will have some sort of lineage that involves your kin being persecuted. Everyone was at one point or another. But I do agree with whomever said it earlier in here: 10yrs ago this may have been relevant (and it has nothing to do with Obama). You just don't hear many people pull the race card based on their ancestors 4 generations ago any more.Comment -
And yes, I can imagine your neighbours need help. I grew up in a city/town in Canada with a rather large Native Reservation and some things weren't pretty at all. But neither was some of the stuff I saw in my poshy posh neighbourhood. I do believe some things are self perpetuating: If your parents tell you the world is always out to get you and shit on you, then you'll most likely live like that. But the majority of this stuff is being handed down through generations from people who did experience it 1st hand but are no longer here to express it. My son was born almost 3mths early. I had a plane ticket to gtfo of this shithole 10 days after he was born. But because he was born here, I can't simply up and leave with him without his father signing the passport or going to court which we've been doing for almost a year now. That passport thing?
