Most tourneys have a 15 point entry fee for non-Pros, but free entry for SBR Pros. SBR have been doing upgrades to much of the site(poker room, sportsbook and casino) and the tourneys won't start back up until Aug 1st, supposedly with many new changes, but I don't know what changes to entry fees they might make.

As a non-Pro you get 2 points a day just for visiting the forums, and another 4 per day for your first post of the day. Double all of that if you are a forum pro. Also, if you are a pro, you get to participate in trivia twice a week for bonus points as well as getting free entry in the poker tournaments (at least prior to this poker tourney hiatus... not sure what will happen now).

I think your real question is how many buy ins you need to sit at a ring game. That, someone else will have to answer.

There will be changes Aug 1st., but for now non-pros get 2 points for logging in each day and 4 points for your first post each day(4&8 respectively for pros). Points can be wagered in the sportsbook, casino and poker room, when they re-open. After Aug 1st non-pros will get 6 points for logging in each day, won't have to log in and post to get your 6 points each day. You can win points playing in poker tourneys, but will have to pay entry fee. Most if not all handicapping contests are Pro only and usually award points. Pros also get 2 chances at trivia question each week with a chance to win up to 125 points.

Check out the newbie forum, they have a bunch of good info for ppl new to SBR. Hope that helped, GL.
