"Well Educated" Woman Escorted Off Train
A lady, using the F-bomb on her cellphone a few times, complains that she is a well educated woman and should not be bothered by transit workers when she is requested to stop doing it. What a snob!

She has a point. Only people with a GED or high school equivalent should be using the F-bomb. From anyone else - it is very offensive.

I cannot speak for all countries.

But in USA, we have free speech, which is protected by the 1st amendment to the constitution. Is using the F-Bomb polite? Of course not. But if you give anybody the authority to punish someone for free speech, who's to say they wont take it to far?

What if there's a train of liberals "offended" because someone is advocating conservatism on phone?
What if a yankee fan is "offended" because red sox fans are bashing them?

of course these might not be as rude as swearing. But, my point is that if you give transit officials the authority to remove people solely for exercising free speech, they would have the same authority to kick people off for these things.

I truely believe in free speech. It has limitations of course. You can't yell bomb on an airplane. But as far as simple cursing, especially when it's not a verbal assault on another trainmember, is not legitimate grounds for removal in my opinion

We have the constitution for a reason. We have rights for a reason. I think if someone chooses to swear, that's their right to do so. You can talk however you want to talk. That's your right as a person.

Is the woman polite? no. But there is no law forcing people to be "polite."

I just don't like seeing constitutional amendment rights getting trampled. It opens the door for abuse, and threatens a free society. The people who are "offended" by cursing have every right to take another train, buy a car a drive, ride their bike, carpool with a friend, or take the bus.

We shouldn't start trampling on free speech rights just because someone gets "offended." People get offended at everything these days. Media commentators are constantly apologizing for everything because half our society is a whiney bunch of offended pansies.

I don't think that's grounds for trampling free speech. Is using the F-bomb polite? No. but you have the constitutional right to use it.

She chooses to take the train. If she doesn't like the standards set by the people that are on it or the feelings of the general public around her, then she needs to find another form of transportation and use all the f bombs she wants to. If I own a restaurant, and someone is continually swearing, and disrupting my customers, I'm going to ask them to stop it or leave because that will eventually disrupt my business. People won't come back. You can't just drop slurs all over the place because we have free speech. I'd get fired if I talked at work like I talk with my friends.

Interestingly, she attends NYU, which is a decent school (Stern or Courant only), but nothing to hold over the head of a regular blue-collar worker doing his/her job.

F this F that motherF ... After about the 3rd min I told her, "can u stop disrespecting my wife and mother and stop saying Fxck so much!" they got mad at me but then left my cousin apologized but that hoodrat did not ... Wrong.

If you own a business that is open to the public, through invitation, onto/inside your private property then it becomes a public area and the individual's constitutional rights apply.

All right. You have a homework assignment. I need you to go into a high class restaurant with a friend, and start blurting out profanities in a loud conversation. The cops will be talking to you in 15 minutes. Since a church is open to the public, go there and do the same thing too. I can't wait to see your mugshot.

Doesn't mean the cops behavior is constitutionally correct.
