Maybe he was behind her in the checkout line with only one item, and she had like 3 carts full of stuff in front of him and wouldn't let him go ahead of her..? I think this is a logical explanation - it used to happen quite frequently until people started letting people go ahead of them in line.

Supermarkets are like the wild west. Gotta be careful. I buy my food at flea markets only and go to bakeries.

If this happened in the US there would have been 50 or more victims. Notice the guy took a knife and cut one person's head. When a mentally challenged person in the US goes crazy he empties his guns several times and dozens of people die.

That's crazy. I was in that city a few years back and remember hearing about some suspected arms dealer being arrested while we were there.

Here's an eye-witness report about the beheading:

On local Spanish radio an eye witness spoke of having seen the man walking down the street holding the severed head before being overpowered by security guards."I was parking outside the supermarket and I saw this man running out with something bloody in his hands," he said. "It was a head. The security guards chased him and threw him to the floor and overpowered him."
The witness said the head rolled along the ground as the suspect was apprehended. The attack occurred at 10.30 yesterday morning. The victim was originally thought to have been a Chinese immigrant worker.
A local official said the man appeared to choose his victim at random. Witnesses said the man entered the supermarket in the Valdes shopping centre and attacked the woman without saying a word.
"Apparently this gentleman without any motive or any reason... entered the shop and then cut this woman's neck and took the head in his hand outside," said local councillor Manuel Reveron.
A Tenerife government spokeswoman said the man had stolen a knife from the supermarket before attacking the woman.
Police said a homeless Bulgarian man with a criminal record had been arrested on suspicion of murder.

I don't go looking for anything.....but I always carry wherever I go. It's every non-felonious Americans' Constitutional right.....well kind of. I still have to get a BS state permit and carry concealed but open carry laws are working themselves through several state legislatures.
