Genius move. Ashton is so well loved by many young fans. he has millions of viewers on twitter. those tens of millions will now watch the show. it'll bring in all the young people. he's young, and has the looks. expect this show to almost double in the ratings now. great move by the network.

This is a last-ditch attempt to salvage the show, but it is drawing it's last breaths. I guess Charlie will get a small "win" with the satisfaction that it was his mojo that was keeping the show alive.

How is it it different.

If one gets fired from any job, unless it's attrition, you need to replaced the fired guy.
Same applies to one who retires.

Once again, I'm no fan of the show by no means, but those of you who love Sheen and think the show will tank, you may be surprised.

Do I need to list all the shows in the past where the star left, got fired, whatever and fans of the show were like "there goes the show"

M*A*S*H is one, Alda originally was not the star, he became the star after McClean Stevenson and Wayne Rodgers were holier than thou.
