    derby so wide open?
why? now after Animal Kingdom wins it after 5 lifetime starts. Other trainers gonna be doing the same things with thier horses. The less starts the better and the public will be be even foggier about who is who !!

uh most of those horses were unraced, those are 3 year old horses and some just barely. In fact that horse was the only horse with the pedigree in that race

Unlikely, because of the earnings needed to get into the Derby. Also the cost to enter and run in the Derby is substantial so owners/trainers need to be reasonably sure they might even have a shot in the Derby.

A lot of injuries weakened the field for this year's Derby. Still, it was a fun one to watch.

he had pretty good odds. it was up in the air for him and it was pretty much a good shot if people took him.

Did anyone see the interview with Packers QB Aaron Rodgers before the race? The reporter asked him about his favorite thing about coming to the derby. His response was "I like the last two minutes of the race." I can't tell you how long I laughed. The last two minutes of a two minute race! What a dumb a#@. The reporter had the most dumbfound look on her face. It was awesome!

Yes the arabs won the English Derby with Lammtarra a good few years back whilst giving it it's first ever run . must agree strongly that betting any horse that has never raced in public to win a "Classic" just aint going to happen so therefore the punters (bettors) get shafted again . let us see more of the "goods" before we part with our cash ! gl guys
