Feel guilty about my absence from the Church but do not eat on Friday during Lent and gave up tonic...or soda which is what most of the world calls it. I've been drinking booze like a fish but dammit if I can't wait for that first Coke on Sunday!

good way to look at it... had some fresh steelhead today. looking forward to Easter brunch. i have gained 10 pounds over lent... wtf... guess i gave up the wrong thing

i didn't eat meat on any Friday this Lent. Church used to also include all Wednesdays
instead of only Ash Wednesday with the meat prohibition...
but I'm still working on Confession. easy not to eat meat, other things not so easy.

when i was young, i was much more catholic than now. my dad always dragged us to church every sunday and i used to pray every night before i go to sleep.. since turning 18, i never went once to church and stopped praying every night before i sleep. i have no excuse. i just got lazy. shame on me..

Duff (post above) makes an excellent point. The irony is that the atheists snidely reject any notion of God because there is no empirical evidence to prove He exists yet they claim to be the intellectuals while the believers are considered the sheeple herded into a theistic view of the world. The obvious irony is that the atheists cannot prove a God does not exist. I would say to anyone who has doubts, you are only human and faith is predicated not on the lack of doubt but the mastery of it. Happy Easter to all who believe in Him as well as to those who don't.
