I just watched it on HBO as well since I got it for free on the weekend or something on my Dish, I thought it was stupid as well, I didn't really understand the whole ending thing though. Getting transported using water, aliens, all the zombie people that kept on staring at everybody.....I was like wtf. I thought it was going to be about a box with a button you push to get 1 million, then they had to throw everything else on top of that.

The movie that set the "Worst" standard for me was "The Quiet Earth." To give you some perspective on how bad this movie is/was, I saw it when I was 13, there was a full-frontal nude seen, and I still thought it was awful.
