I can't be the first. My friends seem to think it's funny and I guess I will eventually so I figure I will tell it to the group.
I met this girl online and she had a similar educational background and I found her to be pretty attractive (no pics, sorry) so I figured why not meet her.
A lot lead up to the meeting, we talked a lot online and got along great, similar personalities in many ways and a lot in common.
I drove out to have lunch with her and it ended up being almost 3 hours in which we drank beer, ate pizza, and had a flowing conversation the whole time to the extent where neither of us realized how long we had been there we just knew we had a great time. She texted me to make sure I got home alright and we were just getting along great.
Then the next day she told me she dug some online (which I respect) and that she ran into my blogs/posts on here and another site. In her words the conflict between personalities was night and day - in person I seemed like a great guy who was a perfect gentleman while being very open and warm and online I seemed like a jerk with absolutely no respect for women whatsoever. I did little to defend myself, I mean what can you do it is in written form but I mean we are mostly a bunch of guys horsing around right.
She mulled it over few a few days only because out meet up was that good and we did connect, and then decided because of the posts and the blogs it wouldn't work out.
I do respect her position and her but at the same time I am like wow, that really happened that way. I mean that's a new one for me at least.
I figure it's the real world and we live in the age we live in and I guess if you want to mess around sometimes these things can catch up with you.
All I can say is good luck to her, nice girl and I wish her well and she is right in saying that if she cant trust me from the start than it is nothing to build on, though I thought of it as just having some fun kickin around and that's it.
Anyway, cool story I know. Anything like this ever happen to anyone here?
