Its easy to say he killed a human being he should be on death row but oddly I have no problem with what your friend did, seeking vengence for the death of his mother.

I read a story a few weeks back where I had the same view, involved a former rugby star who murdered 3 of the 4 thugs who gang raped his daugher and infected her with HIV. In both of these cases I know human life was lost but I feel they got what they had coming to them.

Wow man that is terrible. Unfortunately being mentally handicapped is not enough to save him from prison. the 'legal' definition of mentally handicapped and unstable and the health professional definition are completely different. Which is why its very hard to proof.
Unfortunate our government has decided that closing these Government run mental health hospitals was the right thing to do decades ago, and they should re-open them, it would solve a lot of societys problems and help them. But they won't.
