Howard Cosell WAS Monday Night Football.
I always liked him until....He grabbed a one minute interview with Willie Shoemaker at Pimlico on Preakness Day( several races before the Preakness) in my saddling stall while I was trying to tell Mr. Shoemaker about my horse he was getting ready to ride.The horse had some likes and dislikes and it was important to tell this to the Jockey.
They hollar "riders up" and Cosell is still talking. I never get a chance to tell everything to Shoemaker and my horse goes off 1-2 and finishes 5th.Never runs a lick because he is put in a bad spot because Shoe does not know any better.
I Was sooo pissed.Red Fox in the winners circle presenting the winners trophy and I am off the board at 1-2!
