What if your 10 year old daughter was brutally raped, tortured, and then murdered... and you found out it was the guy down the street that just recently moved in and is on the convicted sex offender registry with a prior of rape of a minor.

Interesting question. I probably wouldn't kill anyone other than for self defense, but I'd imagine if murder convictions would be lowered to 1 year there would be small spike in number of murders.
