Why can't people spell lose right? It's. not loose or loosing. I often see this mistake in this forum. Loose=opposite of tight, lose=opposite of win. JS

Maybe you should be a bit more loose with your attitude when other people spell lose like loose when they really mean lose.

There are a many more mistakes that people make with spelling on this forum. On a daily basis you can see the pattern. I always shake my head and wonder how can this happen. It's pretty much on a 3rd grade level maybe even lower the mistakes that are on this forum.

who cares? a lot of people post in a rush as long as you can figure out the general idea of the post. maybe if you had more than a 11 posts in 2 years you would see how easy mistakes are rather than caring how words are spelled...
post plays, no one cares if its spelled lose looser loooseeee, its sbr not a spelling bee

Ha ha, this is true. I find it especially funny that on at least half of the occasions when people post threads giving other posters shit for their poor spelling or grammar, they themselves are making one or more errors in their very own post or thread title.
To be 100% accurate, this thread title should have read:
It's spelled "lose," not "loose."
I'd love it if every poster had the writing skills of an editor for The New York Times, but the shit ain't gonna happen in here, so you just deal with it!

I can tell you why I've made this mistake before ... coming from a person who has not studied English I often compare other words in order to guess the spelling.
So, since we write "pose" like to pose for a photo or a "dose" of something it is understandable why one compares lose to these words and decides to add another "o" to make it sound like "u" and not "o"; get it? I have to admit that although English is not my first language it is still embarrassing when I make mistakes.
Hope this can shed a bit of light on your frustrating issue.
