Anybody Buying A Lock For Their Gas Tank?

Its been happening in some places already. I can't remember where it was but I saw it on the news. They weren't even siphoning, they were putting holes in the tanks and collecting the draining fuel!

Lock won't stop them if they really want the gas.

Both our cars have them, but dont most newer
cars have a cover that locks
and you have to pull that lever or push a button
to open

the whole threead made me laugh - guys you are not in africa - you're in the states. Why would you steal gas from people, even if the price is a bit higher, so why would others do it to you?

I wouldn't worry about it, gas has been high before. It's still not bad compared to other countries.

Didn't know gas tanks had locks on them.

I got a locking gas cap on my truck but i doubt if that will stop someone who really wants it

Man, I remember seeing this kind of stuff on the news the last time gas went $4+
Funny how gas is one of the few things people will actually go to a different shop when the difference is only pennies.

Don't think I'll get a lock on the gas cap but been hearing from the media about people ripping off the gas stations lately. Pretty foolish with all the video cameras out there. Big brother is watching and you will get caught.

Damn Nigerians are coming over into the middle class neighborhoods stealing gas. But now what do you do to the under 18 kid (that the parents most likely sent out to go steal gas). Right away it will be a racial issue and lawsuit if you hit the kid too.

i tried siphoning gas from random cars when i was a teenager......it was not as easy as I thought it would be

large amounts of marijuana probably played a role in me ******* it up though
