Going to a roller skating rink tonight

I have no choice, it's for a friend's daughter's party.

I have not been to a roller skating rink sinse roller skating rinks were popular. So that gives you an idea about how long ago it was. I had no idea that these places still existed.

What can I expect?

Got suckered in to that awhile back ago so I feel your pain.

Kids will be in two groups, the way too cool kids that wont skate, then those that don't care and will have fun. You'll get those "expert" skaters that think they are doing tryouts for the Olympics.

They didn't serve beer, so was unable to numb the pain.

Last time I was at a roller skating rink was in the 80's. I remember glow sticks, bad pizza, and falling so many times on my face it hurt to smile. All in all, a good time.

God do i miss roller rinks , i remember they had certain songs you had to skate backwards for, being that i was a stud i use to moon walk the straights to show off during these songs because many girls had to sit out because they couldnt skate backwards.

Used to roller-skate all the time as a kid. Would purposely slew-foot friends and send them to the deck. Good times.

I'm OK, Stikymess. I did not get on skates, I just hung out for a while and drank a soda. I did not touch the food, I picked up Mexican food on the way home. lots of kids were there but the place was still pretty much empty. Nothing crazy or exciting happened. Skating rinks are not cool like I remember them being, pretty boring actually.
