Is it wrong to wear dark shades while talking to chicks?

I wear dark sunglasses a lot, yesterday was asked to remove them after talking for a couple minutes to a casual acquaintance. Been asked several times before, most notably while making small talk at the beach on the sunniest of days.

I do comply but I think it's kinda rude to ask someone to remove their shades. What do they fear, eyes like the devil or "kill" tattooed under the eyes? Sunglasses on while in the sun, that's what they're intended for, no?

If you're trying to be liked for whatever reason and it's not particularly bright, I'd take them off. It's more personal that way. Hidden eyes make you look more anonymous and shady.

Just tell them you have a lazy eye. That will let you know how vain the person is. If they insist on seeing your lazy eye, then move on.

Dunno, I'd feel awkward if a girl--or anyone--were talking to me with shades on.

In Jack Nicholson's case, those are very light shades, and one can see his eyes while speaking to him, so it doesn't count, I guess.

Oddly enough, I get dirty looks sometimes when I do that while wearing dark shades.....but almost never if I'm doing it without wearing shades. Helps to have innocent eyes.

Not lying. Shades were dark, couldn't see much of the eyes.

If its sunny out I will take my sunglasses off for a big. IF the conversation is too long I might put them back on I like to show my eyes for a bit. Kinda show that I'm not hiding anything.

The only time you should be wearing shades is driving in your car, playing in a poker tournament at a casino, and strolling out at the board walk at the beach on a sunny day, imo.
