Beer Review 5 (Christmas Edition With Shoutouts)

Hoppin Frog Frosted Christmas Ale 8.5

Dark in color, small head, smell is big on cinnamon and nutmeg with brown sugar. You can taste the booze but it's nicely masked by all the spices. Light to light-medium body with carbonation which allows for a lighter feel., Lots of taste to this beer, it's a winner in the Holiday Spice category. What a great brewery, almost all that have been reviewed have gotten high marks.

    Mikkeller Santa's Little Helper 2010 SOLID 8.5

From Denmark. Huge head. nice lacing, almost black in color. Smell is of cinnamon and peppermint. Taste has elements of brown sugar, cinnamon, maple syrup, and the peppermint really makes it unique. Toasty, smooth, and enjoyable. Probably the best of this bunch.

    Peculiar Yule 8

From Norway. Dark, lots of head. Smell is of ginger, coriander, and faint cinnamon. Taste is of big hops and slight chocolate malt. Medium body with good drinkability.

Home For The Holidays Oak Aged Brown Ale 7

Dark brown in color, with an off-white head. Aroma is of toasted malts, chocolate and caramel. Taste is pure nuttiness. Hazelnut. Spices, and Dark fruits. Light to medium body. A decent brown ale and for a good cause.
