What's the most pain you've ever been in?
I'm really talking about physical injury, but I've never really got my ass kicked or been hurt that that bad. I've broke bones, had second degree sprains, been knocked out but nothing sticks out for being the worst ...
    1) A sick case of food poisoning from Taco bell where I threw up constantly and couldn't even sit up in bed for like three days. It was laying there dizzy and vomiting for like 3 days and I really wanted to be dead.
    2) One night in college I drank about 24 beers and had the worst hangover ever, 2-3 day hangover.

    You?

Food poisoning wasn't fun. Still can't eat brunswick stew.

I picked up a fumble and got tackled by the dick...that wasn't a walk in the park.

I'd say my worst was having a dislocated shoulder popped back in, without pain killers, about 3 hours after it happened. **** that shit hurt! I don't think I've ever felt anything worse.

I had a crown on my two back upper teeth. it wasnt sized correctly or didnt take for some reason. every once in a while it would kill me but just for about an hour. felt like a lot of pressure on the crown. then it would go away. well it woke me up out of a sound sleep one night at 3am. worst pain you could ever imagine. it didnt go away like it usually did. had to work all day with it and then went to dentist after work. hands down the worst 13 hrs of my life. i wanted to kill myself.

^Yeah toothaches suck. Myself its when my hands burned from rope burn...I grabbed onto a rope to prevent myself from falling. As I fell and slid down, the rope burned my hands, had to let go of the rope, and fell about 20 feet. Could not sleep for 2 days.

There's a pain threshold and when you go beyond it you don't feel anything. I was on a bicycle once and got hit by a car going 60 miles per hour. Somersaulted through the air and everything. Could probably have walked away from it, but ambulance took me to emergency. Lot of smaller injuries all over. The whole skin was gone from the inside of one of my hands, from where it had slid across the pavement. The nurse had already picked a bunch of glass from my back and ass, but was kind of freaked out about having to brush that hand clean, with a hard brush, so she asked me if I wanted to. So I did, basically 'steel brushing' the bloody nerve tissue that's beneath the skin. I didn't even feel it. I was mentally tuned out. Hey, anything to turn a nurse on...

I agree that after a certain point you don't feel anything. I've been knocked out cold from an accident before and you wake up and don't know what the F happened. or also when you get that adreniline rush. Like being in a fist fight, the guy punches you in the face and it doesn't hurt, but if you didn't have that rush and somebody punched you in the face you Betcha it would have hurt.

I had Vertigo before and that was like having a bad case of food poisioning.

Colon infection. I didn't sh*t for 7 days even with the most powerful prescription laxative. My body ran out of places to put the food I was eating.

MY Jr. Yr. in high school I was playing catcher and a foul ball bounced off the ground and come up and hit me in the nuts...Worst pain I have ever had, I could feel the blood shooting out of my nuts all the way up my stomach and into my neck. I went to the ER and got morphine, about a week later my nut was swoll up the size of a softball. I ended up having surgery to repair the one nut that got hit (thank got I didnt loose it!!!) Now everything is A-Ok...but wowi that was some pain it felt like a gun shot (or what i think a gun shot would feel like...never been shot)

For all of those who may ask, Yes I was wearing a cup, I was just positioned in a way where my nuts where danglin and blouserz!!!

Dislocated knee....so much force that it tore my quad muscle away as well...slipping it back in place was hell as well as the rehab from the surgery and metal screws still in there. Ahhh good times.

When I dislocated my shoulder, I also shattered my kneecap. Surprisingly, that didn't hurt whatsoever. It was weird standing up, and feeling this crunch/pop sound and just collapsing, and seeing the lower half of my leg sticking out the side, but zero pain. The pain came after the surgery, when my knee was about the size of a soccer ball. And the rehab - holy fukk!

Had a pinched nerve in my left arm..lost all use of my left hand (I'm left handed), finally went to the ER, ended up in surgery a week later, having 3 vertebrae removed and replaced with donor bone. Still haven't gotten all of my left hand to come back. Just recently have I been able to button my own pants. Fuking sucks.

Ouch, pinched nerves suck! Losing completely feeling in whatever affected limb - that shit isn't fun at all. I'm no stranger to the emergency room - I love extreme mountain biking and motocross. People keep telling me to give it up, but it's too much fun. Besides, my death is inevitable, so why not live life doing something I enjoy, and if I happen to check out a bit too early, at least I had one hell of a good time!

One of my best friends was in a bad bad car accident and nearly died. He got thrown from his seat into one of the windows and had to pull literally his face out of the broken glass. He was rushed to the nearest hospital by Helicopter and nearly died.

I went to a hospital in PA to visit him as it freaking happened on Christmas. When I entered his room I looked at something I didn't even think was possible. His entire face and head swelled up to the point where he looked like one of the big head characters on NBA Jam or something. I mean his face and head were like 5 times the regular size... No shit. I didn't even know that could happen.

He had to have his entire face restructred like the movie face off with Nicholas Cage. He had dozens of surgeries and THANK GOD is ok now but he didn't even look like a person when I saw him. The crazyyyyyyyyy thing is me him and two other buddies always used to hang out and do everything together and they were incidentally on a ski trip and for some reason I decided not to go. So I skip the ski trip and skip THAT.

Its amazing some of the things they can do in surgery today, redoing peoples faces, saving peoples nuts, fixing broken knee caps and dislocated joints. Amazing to think just a little over 100 years ago you were probably shit out of luck and were going to be a cripple or die. Heres to PAIN KILLERS!

Meh, what painkillers? Costa Rica has nothing in between codeine and morphine. No, vicodin, oxy's, hydro, etc. Nothing. I got 1 morphine shot while I was in recovery at the hospital. I had to suffer a lot with nothing but codeine. That part sucked ass. At one point, I was almost ready to try heroin for the first time, just to take the damn pain away.
