He is alive and well. I know people have been wondering for about half a decade now, because Googling my own name (we share the same name) gives me forum posts asking if he's doing life in prison, or if he finally got killed, or if he never made it back out of East St. Louis after marching in, on foot, with a shotgun on his shoulder. But he's definitely alive.

What kind of father was Richie?

Psychotic. Abusive. Drug-fueled for my first 18 years, til I left the house. But he's very smart. Loving in his own weird way. He was always around, which is most important. But I've got bigger anger issues than even he does. I wouldn't say he shaped me into a brilliant human being, I did that on my own.. but he definitely shaped me into one of the only people that he himself is legitimately scared of.

I stopped powerlifting in favor of eating sweets and doing drugs for a few years after my mom died in 2011, never got back into it. So I'm fat, a little. He, though, has lost a ton of weight. Then again, I don't know how thin he was when he was posting videos. I know he was hittin the rocks heavy for a while, so maybe he was thinner then.

Butch hates my beard. That guy's nuts. He's still nuts. In relatively poor health right now, he might not be around much longer. He moved out of his place and into a place with full-time care. And thank god for that. At least he can't smoke with an oxygen tank hooked up to his face anymore.

They got the Blues games playing on a projector on the outside wall of the building at a local bar, we're gonna go down and watch here on an upcoming night.

He's about 75 now, yeah. Also, he stopped smoking rocks a while back, about a year or two ago. I've smoked with him a few times in the past, but I was the only good company he kept when he smoked that shit. I ended up talking him out of doing it anymore. Sometimes you gotta wade through the muck with a guy like him in order for him to respect your opinion.
