Why do people suppport Trump wanting to raise Tariffs 10%? Would that not make things more expensive for domestic consumers? Its basically a sales tax that will trickle down and make things more expensive in the US

#2If I am not mistaken. Other countries charge America a tariff. America did not charge them. Trump was first to ask for a fair trade deal. And first to get it.
What we need to ask ourselves is why Bidenomics is costing us so much more money for everything while the leftists are bragging about it.
I may be wrong about the tariff thing because I'm just winging it.Comment -

#3Tariffs are a bit of a blunt hammer but if trying to protect an onshore industry it can end up +EV in the long term.
It's still effectively just forcing consumers to pay a little more to support home grown industry though. Can't get away from that part.
I don't know much about Trump's tariff plan but if I was voting on it one question I'd have is what is the replacement industry that is being paid for by those tariffs, and what is the long term P/L estimate between doing it and not..Comment -

#4What part of Bidenomics cost us more money for goods? You don't remember we had a global pandemic. Covid created the highest level of inflation since 1981. Biden had nothing to do with that. Now inflation is rapidly decreasing. That can also be a problem.Comment -

MEANWHILE...
Zimbabwe said Monday it would allow the killing of 200 elephants so that their meat can be distributed among needy communities.
The Namibian government last month approved the culling of 723 animals, including 83 elephants, 30 hippos, 60 buffalos, 50 impalas, 300 zebras and 100 elands, among others.
