    Aerosmith calls it quits
Definitely top 10 greatest Rock N Roll bands ALL-TIME.

Seen them a few times including once in Costa Rica in 2010. One of the greatest concerts I ever seen. Always put on a great show.

I actually met the band in Vancouver back in the early 90's when they recorded Pump and Get A Grip.

Looks like his voice is done and beyond repair. Joe Perry was a hell of a guitarist. Father time catches up to us all eventually but their music will always live on.

I've always considered Aerosmith to be my #1 band, though the "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" era was NOT good. Nor was much beyond that. I was lucky enough to see them four times (I think 2006 was the most recent, however), and they always put on a hell of a live show.

Sadly, their touring may be done, but if he's able to heal up, who knows.. maybe we'll see a few one-off type appearances somewhere. Legends.

Great band. I’ve seen them numerous times and agree before the “I don’t want to miss a thing” stuff their work was amazing.

          Yeah, we love them too.

I read that story a couple of days ago, his vocal cords are shot, unrepairable.
So, you want to be a rock star?
Springsteen has bleeding ulcers, Huey Lewis is legally deaf, can't hear, Tyler can't speak now.
          Adam Duritz...

          True story.
We're checking out Rick Danko (The Band) solo in this Boston music club, the Mrs. and I are sitting at the bar.
I'm shooting the shit with this guy sitting next to me, we're getting along fine.
He says to me "Are you in music, what do you do"?
I tell him "I played horn when I was in school and all, we're big Robbie Robertson and the Band fans. but no, I'm in IT"
I say to him what do you do? He says I'm Aerosmith's business manager.

There was no reason to doubt him, he checked all the boxes, knew what he was talking about, the bands from Boston etc.

Agree, still remember smoking weed in the school courtyard listening to "To Get Your Wings" when the band wasn't that mainstream.

Rockers live a hard life on the road and very few take care of their bodies.

These old guys hang on to long. The Stones being the worst.

Was the last child on the streets many times. Just a punk in the streets.

Little known and hardly played on the radio. A song before its time about man's own destruction. Still relevant today.

One of their best from the first album.

Released in 1969, I would say they had a good run.

That's both my buddy's and my own, #1 Aerosmith song.

I went to a concert in Camden, NJ.. whatever they called it at the time, it's had so many names... I went with a group, but HE was unable to come this time... and they played Nobody's Fault. Good Lord, I was elated. Unfortunately, most of the place was silent during this song. But not me. Wasn't a song they often played, and from what I'd read, only a few times, if at all, after that.

Years ago, Tyler was a judge on America's Got Talent.

Near the end of his AGT career one night, there was a girl on stage getting ready to sing. 16 yrs old, cute as a button. She did look like an angel in a little white dress.

Tyler is giving her the speech before she started her song. All he kept telling her was how cute and lovely she was. Then he puts his hand to his face (?) and says to her: " you are so darling, I could just eat you up ''. J Lo was on the panel also, she was between Tyler and the other judge.

J Lo looks at Tyler, pulls her head back and say's, '' Oh, Oooo Kayyyy '' , chuckles and proceeds to talk to the girl about her choice of song .
                              ETC.

Tyler was not around much after that. For what it's worth.

Ally and I loved AI up until season nine.
She loves Taylor Hicks, I love Carrie Underwood.

Anyway, this is my all-time favorite Steven Tyler moment.
(It comes at the end around 4:40 if you don't want to watch her performance, which was great by the way)
