Well I guess it is possible to elude the coppers for this long, but the odds just are very low. They have many ways for finding people. Its harder than you think to disappear. Now he may have a leg up with the whole survivalist thing and having access to modes of transportation that are not typically used, but my bet is still on dead in the woods of a self inflicted gun shot. We'll see soon enough I bet.

...and no I missed talking to him last week at our gathering of right wing nut jobs with societal issues meeting. I wanted to pick his brain on how exactly I could float down a river in a rubber raft for a while. When is it safe to come ashore for some provisions, how to procure better transportation when the time is right. you know crap like that.

Maine is easy to disappear for a long time if he is on foot. The guy who bombed the Atlanta Olympics was hiding for 2 years in the NC/Georgia mountains which are not as remote from civilization as Maine wild.

He probably dug out in a room bunker in the ground with all the luxuries deep in the woods. Stocked with food, clean water, hidden with leaves and tree branches on top of it. No heat signatures. Chilling in that bunker with a generator and watching the news now on a small tv. Sick focker was prepared. He's not dead, no way I'd bet on it.

If he wanted to die he would not have planned this escape route.

its a touchy subject whether to release a murderer's manifesto if there is one. In the past, many parents of the victims go to court to prevent the killer's words to become public. They say it could inspire others killers. On the opposite side, they want it released in order to understand why they did it.

I am kinda on the side of not even showing the killer's face or mentioning his name after its over. That includes making public any manifesto he may have left behind.
