As a kid family owned some horses and I would be at the races most weekends. And worked for a trainer at his stables on school holidays. So yeah I was right into it. Still really like going to the track but in the end decided it was a mugs game trying to bet on it weekly.

Yeah Aust still lives off mining. But world prices way down for now. My son drove one of those unbelievably massive trucks at a coal mine local to us until recently. China tried to punish Aust for officially demanding an investigation of them over covid and did all they could to hurt that trade with tariffs and even holding up ships for bogus reasons etc. Luckily it ended up hurting China more than us as their steel plants shut down. Hey, Opti, just trying to stay educated. Australia showed up in a chapter of book I'm reading, "Collapse" by Jared Diamond.
Australia is such an interesting case study. Sizable land mass, population situated in mostly five cities.
