Depp loses the trial, but succeeds in exonerating himself has an abuser, and ends her career. He will get other opportunities, she is done.

I think there is no question Amber is a pathological liar, wasn't abused like she said she was, and purposefully hatched a plan to simultaneously defame Depp and elevate herself. Problem is I'm not sure you can point to the op-ed as what did it which is what the case is about. The people magazine cover and the cabinet slamming video were much more damaging if I remember correctly.

Also, one of the funniest things around the trial was when two people dressed up in dinosaur costumes and waited on the wrong side of the road for Depp to arrive at court. They were jumping around and they never even got to see him.

Depp awarded 15 million in damages. Her countersuit she was awarded 2 million but I think that was reduced to 350k by the judge or something, not sure what happened there.

For her at least it wasn't 50 million. I suspect she'll be professing her new found love for Elon Musk soon.
