Actually don't have any ill feelings for the guy if he really is an ICU nurse because they bust their ass to help people. Last guy I had which was a few days ago was a young man, less than 40 less old. He was on VAV ECMO, 16 IV drips (literally), feeding tube, dialysis, had a pressure line inserted into his heart that shows us the pressures inside his ventricles, atriums and pulmonary arteries so we could titrate meds more appropriately, he was on a roto-prone bed and will be listed for either lung transplant or heart/lung transplant as soon as the transplant team clears him

Add in multiple trips to MRI, CT, OR or another procedure department, theres not much more that can be done.

I dont know where your uncle is or the type of care he's receiving but I hope the best for him, but NAC aint it

The problems we actually end up dealing with isn't the covid itself, its the damage caused by covid. ie heart failure, ARDS, kidney failure, liver failure, etc... this stuff persists long after covid has cleared the body. Once covid has done its damage and cleared the body, nac wont help

Think positive. You have to look out for your loved ones. Hospitals protocol for Covid treatment is trash and deliberately done that way
