    What Would You Call This?
Neighbor moves in next to me a while back.

I cranked up my air compressor for my car tires. Use it for many things in garage too.
He goes out and buys one brand new. He didn't have one, and has never used it except the initial run after buying.

I have a heavy duty big snowblower....he only had this small one.
He goes out and buys one exactly like mine but brand new.

I bought a used nice lawnmower recently. I bullshit you not, he went out and bought a brand new lawnmower within 3 days.

    WTF?
Trying to better me or something? What is this called as a street term or even a dictionary term?

Its like this guy thinks we are in competition of material items?

I almost want to go buy a motorcycle soon to see what he does.......lmfao.

Stepping it up over the lesser Joneses?

I have no idea. But it is odd/funny.

I used to joke years ago, even did the bit at open mics - about a childhood friend and/or even co-workers -that would always go out and buy top of the line clothes/equipment to participate or try out a new hobby/sport.

I moved into a new neighborhood recently.

Needed to buy or replace a few items, like a snowblower, mower and air compressor.

Anyway, it's weird, it seems like every time I'm about to buy something, this weird neighbor of mine happens to buy something similar just before me. What a weird coincidence. Guy probably thinks I'm copying him.

Anyway, he won't ask me and I won't ask him. He seems like the weird paranoid type that wouldn't take a vaccine and hates minorities.

His name is Fred Hammerstein. He's black, Jewish, unemployed and is married to an Aryan woman and they have 4 mixed race children.

He has 2 brothers with similar circumstances and they are looking to buy in the same neighborhood. They are establishing a BLM chapter and will be holding neighborhood meetings. Stay tuned

                      that's called being a "one-upper"

applies to standard conversation as well. you say something about your job going well, he comes back with details about how he's probably going to become the CEO within a year. etc -- always has to one up everyone else in life

Yeah, one-upper sounds the best probably. He's 61 years old. I'm surprised people still worry so much about material items as they age like that. I'm in my 40's and could care less anymore. I do like my speed and my performance of the vehicular nature so if I could ever get a Lamby or that bimmer bike above that would be sweet. But it would have nothing to do with one-upping anyone or status bullshit.

                                Q) What do you call a friend with a boat?

                                A) A sucker.

Make friends with this dude. Boats are chick magnets. Or just go out fishing. Boats are a hole in the water that you keep throwing money into. Better to have a friend own one than you. Keep asking him questions about his boat. Boat owners love to brag about their s#it. Before very long you'll get an invite.

Funny you say this, my friend just bought a boat, every time we go out every chick we talked to the first thing he says is "when are you coming out on the boat?"

It's not even a nice boat it's a 20 year old piece of shit.

So last weekend I finally go out on his boat with him and within 10 minutes of dropping it in the water the thing breaks.

Huge pain in the ass all around.

I used to own a 26-footer, but I was smart the boat was new. Most guys can't afford something like that.

Buy a new gun and show it to him.. go to your backyard do some target shooting..then watch for his next purchase..this should tell the real story and just May benefit the community down the line.

Might create good fodder for a future episode of Dateline NBC.

Get your chainsaw out at like 7am on a Saturday and drop a tree. Then rent a chipper and take your sweet ass time making a mulch pile. Then hedge your bushes and cut your grass. Then recon and see what he does. His old ass wont be able to one up that shit, noise or productivity. Lol.

applies to standard conversation as well. you say something about your job going well, he comes back with details about how he's probably going to become the CEO within a year. etc -- always has to one up everyone else in life
If he is a one upper, then he is also envious. Envious people are quite an interesting subject. Although they're usually rude, whatever they do, or say, should still be taken as a compliment, even though they show their admiration in a strange/negative way.

Because of their negativity they should also be avoided as well. And you simply cannot trust an envious person.

She just turned 11. Its his wife getting her little gifts. Arts and crafts stuff. Stickers, etc. Its just strange because they started doing it before they ever really met her officially. They've done it to my niece as well when I've watched her a few times. The wife delivers it over when we are outside. One time she knocked on my dam door and gave her the gift. Strange. My daughter wasn't around for quite some time and she even asked me when she's coming back. Shits strange man. Strange world.

That is funny man. I've had thoughts his wife is a tranny. I don't see the adam apple, but they can shave that down. The whole situation is weird. She (and fukk maybe a "he") is always saying hi to me if I don't speak to them for days. I have no idea. These people moved into this house next door and it was never for sale. That happens I heard when its a relative or friend that sells house. Still strange.

I have this thought that its a good thing my daughter isn't here that much.
