It's so hard to establish yourself as the GOAT, Greatest of All Time. If someone can argue about it, it's probably not a true GOAT.
I'll list a few that are truly the GOAT. So good that it's almost impossible to knock them off their perch:
*NHL Hockey. Greatest attacking player ever - Wayne Gretzky.
*NHL Hockey. Best defenseman ever - Bobby Orr. The only asterisk here might be longevity. He ripped up his knee and didn't play much after age 30.
*Chess - Magnus Carlsen. Someone more knowledgable than me might debate.
*Snowboarding - Shawn White. The sport isn't that old. Gonna be hard to surpass him.
*Skateboarding - Tony Hawk. Is he the best ever? When u factor in how much $$ he brought into the sport, he surely has to rank up there.
