I've been watching this story on cable news since 7am.
I had to brush up a little on my Phillip facts.
He was the Queen's #2. Her go to person so to speak. A consort. (I pretty much knew that.)
I had to research "Phillip was born both Greek and Dutch"
I said to myself "which is it, you can't be born in two places?"
He was born in Greece and as an infant the family was exiled and settled in Denmark.
I knew he was Navy, my dad was a career Navy military engineer.
Married to Queen Elizabeth for 73 years. That's a lot of years.
He was a big sports fan, horses mainly.
And he gave a ton of money to charities, education, sports, environment...
By all accounts a very decent fella.
I'm pretty much up to speed on Phillip.
I don't care to know much about the Royals and the monarchy.
Not in my wheelhouse of general interest.
Must be nice to get the best health care, best food... all for nothing.
