The Austin Police Department says an hours-long SWAT standoff at a Central Austin pediatric doctor's office that ended with two people dead began when the gunman, himself a doctor, took hostages in the office. It happened at the Children's Medical Group building on 1912 W. 35th St. near Mopac around 4:30 on Tuesday. According to police, a 911 caller reported that 43-year-old Dr.

Before I clicked the link my first guess was going to be Texas. They seem to have more than their share of crazy people. I'm amazed we don't hear about more of these types of crazy situations. People are under a lot of stress with this Covid. Out of work. Bills mounting. Car repossessions. Home bankruptcy.

If I was a betting man, I'd lay odds there are HUNDREDS of gun owners with little black books. Just waiting to be bugging out and popping caps at their list of enemies.

Ever see the 1993 movie "Falling Down"???

        what a piece of shit.

if i was her husband, it would be very tough for me not to retaliate on a member of murderer's family. not being mr. tough guy, just speaking out of human emotion.

Upon thinking about this... are we shocked that more terminally I'll people don't go on rampages? Knocking off their enemies or doing murder for hire to give $$ to kids?

I'm actually surprised this isn't more common.

I doubt you could just become a killer just because you are dying..Plus whos gonna give money to a random dying person?

If you are already a criminal and dying, yeah I guess it should be more common for both rampage/hit

Sounds like an act of Final Rage. I can understand if someone is terminal trying to right some wrongs in this world. The best would be to find out before one is too sick to really do anything. In this case, he probably could've found someone else that crossed him in life whether they crossed him personally or he considers it affected him even if it indirectly did. The only thing he should've done was suicide by cop instead so he didn't do it to himself.

Good movie. "Not Economically Viable" guy might still be out on those streets somewhere. The hamburger place really pissed him off. All he wanted was the right cheese. I understand the frustration. Think he lost his job and then went postal basically? There is an old saying, "when people lose everything, they lose it"!
