#49South Korea closes Bars & restraunts for 30 days after 1 infected patron comes in contact with about 1500 other on a night on the town. Don't think we will have business as usual in this industry for quite a while.

#56Nope no hope.
We went to one right before lockdown and you’re sitting that far away from people you just feel strange. Normally you’d think that’s ideal but it was eerily quiet and just a dud even though the food was great. We’ll stick with supporting local business owners through takeaway and delivery. They’re coming up with some really creative ideas! For Mother’s Day today so many places have lovely high tea and Champagne delivery options so no need to even go out anymore.
Shit, re-reading that ^^^ I suspect I may have Stockholm Syndrome after flippin two months at home

#57Went and had a gyro today and sat outside. I'm not sure about sitting inside yet.
In my case, my mother in law stays with us about three months of the year and is in Colombia the other nine. Well not this year. She's stuck with us until GOD knows when. She's 75 and has had lung issues in the past. So, yea, not much fun around here.Comment -

#59Sure, why not. And hey try that new covid special, it’s called “Untested food worker goes back to work!”
Yeah, hurry up and book that upcoming “Carnival Covid Cruise”, too. Man what a deal, free burial at sea with the upgraded deluxe “You’re trapped on a death boat” package!Comment -

#63not until all of this shit is gone (news flash, will roar back once they all open) so looks like a full year without restaurants for me, no biggie, can live without.
Maybe its just me but being in a crowded restaurant with so much open food just not very appealing.
Judging from the idiots at San Clemente flocking to them without masks, it going to get even uglier.Comment -

#64I'd go to the beach for sure, but not restaurants. Enclosed spaces with lots of people and recycled air is the worst. Think meat packing or manufacturing plants, offices, and yes restaurants and bars. Less so for large grocery stores for a limited period of time. Anytime your indoors for an extended period where there are other people and poor ventilation -- risk. Outdoors with reasonable precaution you should be fine. I actually think outdoor baseball is fine, whereas indoor NBA is bad news. But people will have trouble acceptable the difference. If you can eat outdoors at a restaurant, that's good. Or next to an open window.Comment -
