The Gambler: Possibly the most disappointing movie I've ever seen.
It's about not caring about anything. Unrealistic and zero appeal to anyone. The guy plays roulette for christ's sake. It's worse than those old black and white movies about how marijuana is the devil and will make you crazy.
Had to be written by a woman who's ex husband blew her life savings at the track. I can't get over how bad this movie is. I could make a better movie with my cell phone and zero budget.

It was ok to watch once. Marky Mark's acting was good. I probably wouldn't watch it ever again though. It's no Rounders, that is for sure.

If you were a true degen, and could understand. You would think it's better I think.

It's just not a good movie. The plot's unrealistic like jj said, the acting isn't good by anyone (it's a bad movie when even John Goodman doesn't help any), there's no funny parts, they try to get some drama between Marky and his mom and that falls flat big time.... I want my $5.99 back from Verizon.

The original with James Caan from 1973 is a terrific film. Love the scene in the bathtub when he has 50k on the Lakers and only needs 1 pt to cover, and Jerry West gets 3 to make 2 at the free throw line (yes, there was a time you got 3 chances to make 2)at the final whistle and he misses all 3.

it was so bad , I watched it for free and still felt like I got ripped off

In actuality , it was so terrible I turned it off about halfway through

As said by a poster above, If John Goodman and Marky Mark cant make a movie have some credibility

then it must be a trainwreck of a script

They should have had more sports betting in this walbergh one, we seen the original why would we want to see another movie with basically the same script, they had the money and resources to make a good movie they blew it.
