What blows my mind is that this kid has a huge ego and a high level of confidence, yet he never gets laid.
Confidence goes hand in hand with getting some on a regular basis, so how the hell did this kid develop this level of self-love and this huge of an ego when he couldn't attract women?
Sure, his dad had money and he had a nice life, but even privileged guys who aren't getting pussy should have their egos flattened by the time they reach his age if they're never having sex. This kid should be timid and want to kill himself before even thinking of harming others, as he is the loser who is unable to get the affirmation through sex that he and any other young man needs to be healthy and happy.
I'm just saying, if I'm his age and I haven't had sex one freaking time, I'm looking at myself and keeping that ego as small as possible. I wouldn't blame society, or random women for not walking up to me, stripping their clothes off and telling me to fukk them.

Even the richest of rich parents can be ignorant/not involved enough to not understand their son and his situation.

Not could it is. He was diagnosed with aspergers and his father had even reported him to the police a couple weeks ago because of his wierd ass videos and behaviour but police said he was polite and normal and let him go!
The problem is he was diagnosed as having assburgers late on so was too late. Hed already spent most of his life amongst "normal" kids and hadnt received any treatment or anything. Plus he was spoilt by his father because he had got divorced and was constantly travelling. Its very dangerous to have a kid with mental issues stemming from his aspergers associating with normal social activities when he nor anybody else isnt aware of his condition.
There was a kid at my school who had hardcore aspergers and should never of been allowed at the school because it was just brutal as hed jus get picked on all the time.Comment -

Im not saying that he wasnt a narcissist. You aren't wrong, he clearly was. The issue is that the distinction between narcissism and aspergers is a bit cloudy. I think ultimately we cant label him as being a "narcissist or as a high-functioning aspie/autistic" - he just had a mental instability! (that's what I should of put in the post above really - not "he has aspergers" - I just said that because that is what he was actually diagnosed as having but clearly it was not as simple as that!).
yes you are absolutely right...lack of awareness and education is a big issue. Hell, I wouldnt be surprised if the police who spoke to him were even aware of his condition or if they had any type of specialist there to talk with him. One of the big problems is as that there is a wide "autism" spectrum. Just like with most things it's not black and white...there are hundreds of different levels...some have it mild, some have it extreme, some in between. Take down-syndrome for instance (completely different thing) but you get down-syndrome to the point were the person has no idea that they have it and have the mental capacity of a 6 year old - they shiit themselves, they cant control emotions, they get angry of certain things, etc... and then you can get a much milder form of down-syndrome like the types you see on comedy TV programmes/movies (The Ringer, Legit, Workaholics) where they are aware of their condition and still have a certain level of independence and social ability. It seems that in regards to his aspergers condition this Elliot Roger had certain elements that were extreme and others that were not. His creepy mannerisms, creepy laugh, blank expression, obsession with certain things like women and sex is typical of somebody with hardcore autism/aspergers. But then on other hand to a certain extent he has a self-awareness and ability to do things that many with autism/aspergers cant do. At first glance he just looked like a normal kid. For instance, the kid I knew at school had it hardcore on all levels and wasnt aware of his condition at all but just looking at him you knew right away that he was retarded in some way. You would never see him driving around in a black-beamer! He would get bullied by a kid on the way to school, then he'd scream at the kid, then 5 minutes later he'd forget about it and be asking questions again (that was his thing, he would just constantly ask people questions about random things that he was obsessed with!).
To me it seems his parents have a big part in this. Seems classic typical case of big time Hollywood movie guy wannabe who didnt want to believe/accept that his darling son may have an issue and therefore didnt confront it 100% and sort of had a mish-mash perspective of "oh we know he isnt completely mentally stable, but we'll still give him a BMW and treat him like a normal kid and have him grow up around normal kids and maybe he'll just adapt and become like them"!
THen there is the issue with social media and internet which allows these "social misfits" to escape and create their own virtual world like this guy had. Also the whole martyrdom thing which is elevating - like with the Columbine massacre - Klebold wrote about how he'd go down in history and Spielberg would make a film about him. These kids become mind-warped in to thinking that their legacy is more important and that being known for something/anything even if it is evil is better than being just another nobody on a planet of billions! And like you say, it's not gonna stop anytime soon, everytime something like this happens you'll get another 100 kids who are just like him, have the exact same feelings and outlook on life, and will look at him as some kind of messiah and hero!Comment -

Vaughnay I appreciate you input on all the soccer picks, but can you please not use the R-word. My son has Down Syndrome. It is disrespectful to all people with disabilities as much as using the N word to African Americans. You are right about Down Syndrome being on a spectrum like Autism. Our son(2 years old) is a loving person and no matter what the level of disability he ends up having he deserves to be respected and given the same opportunities as others in society. Every time something like this happens everyone seems to lump all people with some kind of disability as something to be feared. The point is to educate and people would be more understanding.Your description of a person with a severe case of Down was a bit harsh, but I realize you are not a parent of a person that has just a little extra chromosome in their genetic make up. I hope I made you understand.
