Long story short, I got a $150 wal mart gift card from another site, I put in an order at walmart.com and then I stupidly threw the gift card out because I had ordered online so many times and never had a problem. now its 2 months later. they couldn't deliver the item and through email I told them just send me a replacement but instead they cancelled the order and put the $150 back on the card. They emailed me the card number but they cant tell me what the PIN is so pretty much I have to do to the check walmart gift card balance site and keep guessing PINs until I get lucky. 4 digit pin = 10,000 to 1. I can guess 200 tries in 5-10 minutes. I guess I will do that for 50 days until I get lucky. Hope they don't lock me out after too many tries. Here is my question - are the PINs totally random or is there some way to partially guess and get the total number of possibilities down ? I swear I will log in and send you my betpoints if you can tell me something helpful here. I know a lot of you will say let it go, its just $150 and I didn't even actually pay for the card, but hell no I wont let go. That's a lot of money too me, and yeah I was stupid for throwing the card out but I never had an issue before and I don't need a bunch of gift cards with 0 balance laying around. And it was walmarts screw up. can anyone offer any advice. Thanks for any input you have here.

I would keep calling walmart until you get someone on the line that is willing to help. They should be able to reissue a new card or help with the PIN.Comment -

how many betpoints we talking? I can write a quick code to generate random 4 digit numbers for you once that way you can run threw them all. You would still have to plug in the numbers of course.Comment -
From the Walmart site:
If You Don't Have a PIN
- For your security, Walmart.com can only accept cards with a PIN
- If you have a plastic Gift Card that doesn't have a PIN, you can use it at a store but you cannot use it online at Walmart.com
- Unfortunately, you cannot check the balance of a Walmart Gift Card that does not have a PIN, but you can trade it in for a new card with a PIN at any local Walmart store or Sam's Club in the United States
