That didnt happen in one or ten years but over decades of decline and one year of below average Temps or ten for that matter (even if winter months temps were down) would not rebuild Glaciers!! I Know a few here could not understand that but thought you would!
I didnt think there was any argument that the ice caps are melting! I guess I was wrong! Thousands maybe hundrerds of thousands of years its stood and now melting away! I Think its the largest amount of fresh water on earth until it melts into the ocean!!Comment -

Just so you know; there have been at least 40 ice ages. None were caused by man and none were preventable.
You can hoax all day but the climate will change no matter what the carbon output is, with or without humans.
As a race we want to always take care of the planet and her oceans and atmosphere. That's just common sense. But hoaxers want to make the entire world suffer famine and a horrible economic destruction simply for a political hoax.
There is a reason Obama, gates and Kerry buy million dollar mansions 2 ft above sea level and it ain't because they plan on being underwater in the next few generations.

So lets see the earth is how old? I think you said 3 billion ( I thought older but we will go with that) the other day, so that's one ice age every 75 million years. What are the odds that we would live though a major climate change during our lifetime? Or even all of mankind which is what around 100,000-200,000 years maybe!! Not to good

The point is if man were around Dems would have been trying in vain to prevent one of those ice ages from starting.
We are not stopping climate change. There is not even conclusive proof a little warming is bad. We know millions and millions of additional acres will be arable.
We are like the kid on the beach building a sand dike. We can't anymore control climate change than the kid can hold back the next wave with his 6 inch sand dike.
But like I said, we should do everything we can to transition to beautiful clean energy. Mansions on the beach are perfectly fine. Might not be in a few hundred thousand years or might still be fine.Comment -

Roy I understand what you are saying, if man was not on earth the climate would change over time, I have no argument with that opinion, its been going on for a long time!! But you are also saying man cant have an influence and that I totally disagree with. The fact you dont think the ice is melting, that has been at the poles since the last ice age is amazing!

The Dems war on exploration is not causing us to use a drop less. And it's not promoting any kind of technological gain either. All it is doing is weakening us, hurting the poor and transferring massive wealth from society to big oil.

Ya the Earth is warming. Ya we should be better at how we deal with waste and pollution etc. Of course. No sane person is against this.
The fact that its getting warmer isn't all that bad. Better for some crops. Places too cold for vineyards are now booming for example. And they are still selling 30 million dollar seaside homes. Ask Obama.
