    live tournament last night
kinda a shovefest at the end of this tournament i was in last night.

blind level was 10000/20000 no antes, you are in the big blind, what is the most you would call an all in for with any two cards?

im just curious because i couldnt believe some of the small amounts people had to call for and were giving almost free double ups to short stacks by folding.

It really depends on your stack size compared to their stack size and the percentage you would be risking. From the sound of the tournament you played in, people were making terrible folds when they were getting the proper odds for calling. Normally in a situation like that -- again depending on your stack size -- you can just min raise and pick up the pot by risking even less.

you are pretty much right gummo. i was basically opening for min raises and getting no resistance. one woman player had about half of the chips in play on this level roughly 1 mil of 2 million and the other 7 of us had between 100000 and 200k which is only 10 bbs if you had 200k. it was a weird dynamic with a very quick structure and one player owning the majority of the chips with 8 people left and only 5 getting paid.

Nice work. It's brutal when the blinds get high, everyone is folding, and your stack gets down to shit because you can't pick up a half decent hand.

Glad you go your money back at least.
