The shit I see in live play just boggles my mind sometimes.

Saw this hand go down tonight

    1/2NL

BB Makes it 15 to go
    UTG calls
    UTG+2 calls
    everyone else folds

    BB has about $150
    UTG has $1300
    UTG+2 has about $1000

    flop comes 966

    BB bets 30
    UTG raises to 100
    UTG+2 goes all in
    BB calls
    UTG calls

    BB has pocket KK
    UTG has K6
    UTG+2 has pocket 99

First of all how does BB think his pocket KK is any good given that action?
Granted UTG has a hand but you can not risk 500 BB's, even if UTG+2 is spazing, do you really think he is shipping 650 BB's with anything less than A6?

UTG can go the rest if his life and never get BB like that again.
It wasnt as crazy as you think to make that call, given the particulars, and the value of the pot.

What situations would you not lay it down?

With that small stack versus the big stacks, a lot of different games could be played and the big stacks might be just trying bully things.

I guess I might know the players better than most and no way was UTG+2 shipping with less than nuts. If it was me and up against unknown. First of all would never call raise from player out of BB with K6 and even if I did I would just give an unknown player credit for having a hand. If he is making a move or overplaying a hand like 67 I just pat the table and say nice hand and move on to the next one.

Call me a pussy or whatever but I would rather not put my whole stack at risk (when it is this big) where basically I'm guessing.

why would 99 not smooth call? the kk is short stacked, does sound like a pretty easy fold tho.

Trips are regarded as close to the toughest lay down. We've all seen decent players take them to the river with in a wet flush board.
