Bounty tourney?

Not a bad idea.

I was informed yesterday that bounties within a single tournament where others are not a part of a bounty are no longer allowed. Understandable since it could influence others in the tourney.

You wont see me offering a bounty on anyone anymore. But if it is in the rules, then that is a different story where everyone is fair game. But badges for knocking out posters is a bit much. As it is, people have too many badges, it really makes checking out threads a pain in the ass.

I would recommend only giving badges for top 3 poker finishes and wins of over 2000 points in the the sportsbook

I was more thinking of a short term (week or two) badge that just has the usernames of the bounties taken. Most people would not have more than a few bounties. but maybe a special one for someone who takes out a bunch of players.

Maybe it just has a number of bounties taken.

I just think it would be fun and allow for some more (friendly) ball-busting potential.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you are slow.

Both you and PO69 have tried/talked about putting bounties on each other. Therefore, this type of tourney would allow that to happen in a fair way to avoid concerns of cheating.

Figured you would like this and you both can gun for each other with the chance to proudly crow about it if you knock the other one out.

Don't even need more than one badge... just have the badge expand (horizontally) the bigger the list of bounties taken.

He got thrashed by sbr for posting bounties in tourneys he was in, tourneys he was already knocked out of and tourneys he didnt play. All 3, not just one

Why do you care about bounties. Are you slow or just a dumbass. Only way bounties could be a negative thing is if you were playing with a group of guys that were very skilled and were good at setting you up on middles and such. I promise you that is not happening at SBR.

You should want people putting bounties on you, especially if you are half as good as you claim. Use it to your advantage and you can turn what you perceive as a negative into a substantial positive.

Sheesh, for someone who claims to be a good player with a lot of experience you might be retarded.

A bounty would have to be pretty large (relative to the payouts) to make a reasonable player play differently or take bigger chances against someone specifically for the bounty; otherwise you're just giving someone a reward randomly. Even then, people playing worse to try to catch a person for a bounty is more of an advantage than a disadvantage normally. Easy enough to avoid "set up" bets (1000 pt last longer and 400 pt bounty or similar in a daily) by just stipulating so in the bet. I guess I just don't see any victim here and generally think people should be allowed to wager as they wish, and that the bounty is just a kind of wager that can be used to hedge or just for giggles....either way, if people want to spend their points on it, why not?

My point is in this format(SBR tourney) my play is not changing bounties or not.

I would never pay to put a bounty on someone but I think making this big of a deal about them is moronic.
