i will say it was pretty unsatisfying to play almost two hours and get 4th (75 points).

most nights i will probably crash either trying to double up quickly or calling just because i'm curious on what the person has.

however, i'm sure there will be times i'm bored and play a little more serious just because i like to play poker.

Like Shari said in a different thread, this tourney is only temporary. This format might only go on for a few months. I do believe that this will have an effect on the cash tables because there will be less rollover to do. I've read that SBR was pretty generous with their payouts in past tourneys, and that might be true. Just hope that taking the big carrot away doesn't hurt the activity of the SBR poker community.

I’m assuming all 3 tourneys filled up?

played the 8pm EST with Matty as well. Though the 50 points for 5th at an hour 48 a bit long....it’s always good seeing poker guys like Matty & Opti which is part of the reason many play here. We all had a good laugh at the village idiot and played some good poker. Even had a nice convo with CinciKid

I think it's ok for short-term. Need to be re-assessed after Big Tourney. Guys don't want to burn hours to win peanuts (pennies per hour).

promo sucks, not complaining its just the gods honest truth

i will most likely join tournies, all in any semi decent hand until i got enough points to consider staying / dont care if i lose which basically is 50% of the tourney.... rather just have no promos and leave regular poker over this waste of time

tournies are full would be shocked if they are in a months time, havent seen 1 person on the tables who enjoys this promo

of course "ITS FREE" but time is money and 2 hours for a dollar isnt worth it , hopefully they either do normal tournies like before .. world cup and others or just literally get rid of tourneys and let it be normal sbr poker over this

In a 30 man tourney with 2500 points given away, your expectation on average was less than $3 an hour, still not worth it from a purely money perspective to anyone but the retirded. It's for entertainment value, with a small prize that's arguably more of a way to keep score than anything monetary. It's all well and good to ask for bigger prizes, but asking without providing any benefit to SBR is a bit silly.

Seriously doubt the participation will drop too much, people will play for entertainment even towards the end when qualification isn't possible. Might get down to 25-30 like the old ones, but the payout structure will be more like real poker, so that will still be a net gain (maybe not in points earned, but int he proportion of those points and their use as a relative measure of skill).

well i was in a final 10 table yesterday with every single person saying the promo was trash.. so im not alone here at all

real money poker is like this setup and i do agree this is more for casual fun and hanging out, but when 20 people all in, 10 people arent even playing it takes out that casual fun and hanging out, then playing 2 hours for 20 points isnt even worth getting paid for, paid poker tourneys where its 40 entries and 5 paid go in about an hour or so when ive played on 888poker , because people are actually playing not just AFK

of course SBR has to try new things, but coming in a thread saying 2018 is gonna be the best year yet, then dropping the worst promo ive seen is what makes people be negative... it is free i know , but it doesnt mean people cant speak their personal opinion on the facts of the matter.... people will still play but it feels MUCH LESS engaging and its 3 days in, cant imagine what itll be like a month in??? but hey well see, i know SBR will have better promos in the future, but i cannot personally wait until this promo passes

thanks amigo, but tbh i dont care much just leaving the opinions of most people ive been talking with in the poker tables... just leaving my peace , i like to play poker here at night for some down time while i watch podcasts and wind down , just dont love how the promo is going

probably leaving poker soon= more time for crypto haha

ugh....just got 6th for a whooping 30 points. what a waste of time!

good thing is i will be in vegas tomorrow and won't even think twice about SBR poker for the rest of the week.

after 3-3 in final tables...i'm happy with my game. just wish it was more rewarding.
