The Year-end tournament was one of the big events on SBR calendar. Just saying.
It was pretty cool, in the sense that you had to "qualify" to get into the Big Tourney. Shorter payouts would be fine. But it would be great to see another year-end "Battle for the Belt."Where's the fuckin power box, Carol?Comment -

For the millionth time it makes no sense that SBR's objective is to maximize the rake. The amount of points they give away in the dailies is huge, and trying to get 5% of those back vs 10% is just a silly notion - if they wanted to maximize profits, then they would just not run the dailies at all. This is not a casino where players are buying in with their own $ lol, they are almost always buying in with points won from the dailies - the house's $ if you will.
And they definitely could ban flipping - just announce it's illegal, and anyone caught doing it will be banned or whatever. Yes it might not stop it altogether, but I think most who do flip, like myself, would obviously stop if we were told it was against the rules. Then ring games would inherently have more action which might be better for the community. And that has to be SBR's goal - not trying to achieve maximum rake lol.
As I have said before, even though I am someone who does often flip (simply because it's easier), I would be totally fine with then banning flipping. If they think it will improve the poker atmosphere, it makes total sense even if it makes it harder on some people (myself included) to rollover.Last edited by ArunSh; 01-08-18, 01:45 PM.Comment -

i say the next promo is the bobby waves min-chash challenge..... everyone has to stall every hand before throwing it all in from the button.....
no matter what other action, the button player has to stall like an idiotic pussy and shove all but one chip at the very last possible moment before your hand is folded....
every hand, every trny in the one month qualifying session.... if the button doesn't shove, he's automatically removed from the trny.
the final will be the top 40 players who survive the shove fest qualifiers with the most pts accrued; the final trny will be played in the same format.....Comment -
