I saw a humdinger today:

* 2 in front of me, I call on button w/ A3 (suited). Big Blind comes over the top w/ All-in. 2 folds, back to me.

I'm getting about +160 to call. I smell a rat and like my calling odds w/ all the dead$$ in pot. I call, guy had 79(off), board trips him up w/ 99 and he wins on a dog-shit push. I get knocked out.

Chick next to me hit a Royal Flush and got paid $500 cash. I thought I was in for an exciting night....but 4 hours later I'm down $50 and nothing exciting worth reporting.

Hopefully my autofolding hand in the 10 pm did better.

I knew as soon as I typed the last message something exciting would happen. KK just cracked AA on a big hand. Of course I had K,10 and the KK hit the case King on the flop. Luckily the preflop raises drove me out.

Mpas, live ring cash-games can be incredibly boring. U play an hour, and maybe 3 legit dual hands play out. So many hands go bet/fold and don't even get to show-down.

People have to remember that the clips that make it to TV are part of the HI-lite show.

Chuck....I hear you bro. Had a setback early on when my top two pair (KQ)...got sucked out on the river. However later in the evening hit two big hands....A,4 flush and a boat with 88. Unfortunately neither of those guys had large stacks so I didn't make too much.

For the night I was up $150 in poker and down $200 in black jack with the wife. Luckily she hit a couple of full houses playing let it ride and she up $200 for the night.

Its 5:48 local time. Need to get some sleep. Hopefully tomorrow goes well.

Philly...have that money ready to wire me for back up.

Another casino run in the books....kind of ashamed to admit this, but I never made it back to the poker room. It was dead when I checked it around 3pm so I played BJ with the wife. Went on a heater and made $600 playing $15 a hand. We then went to dinner and I was too exhausted (old) to start a poker session at 9pm. So I played BJ again and made another $250. Problem is....the wife didn't do too well. So when all money was put together for the trip, we were up about $300. So I'm more than happy with the results.

I would have a better idea later in the spring when I will know if I will have visitor from overseas. I also know that tataddy ( matt) will visit us in Toronto sometimes this summer.
I will keep you posted, and , you are also welcome to visit us in Toronto anytime, at a .75 cents dollars, playing 2/5 feels like. 1/2.

I feel you...I have to be in the right mindset to play poker, sometimes I'm not in the mood to grind it out and play a game where you need to think. There are times I prefer playing a mindless game where I can just be on auto pilot and gamble.

I just got back from an Indian casino here in San Diego. The bad beat jackpot is high and ripe to be hit so I went with playing poker in mind. When I got there, the NL game had not started yet so I went to go kill some time in the casino. I ended up hitting a 700x line hit on a $1 spin on a slot machine!! Shortly after, I got paged for the poker game and less than 10 hands in I lost a pretty big hand with AA when another guy flopped a set of 5s. I ended up leaving shortly after that since I was more than happy with the slot win and getting AA cracked kind of killed my desire to play poker for the day.

bought in for 150 after oiler raped me at the omaha table, ran it to 800, back to 225, then up to 800 again!!!!!
